Breaking away from many of the traditional formulas for designing luxury hotel guest rooms, Principal Terry Dougall and Senior Designer Michelle Head of Dougall Design Associates, Inc., Pasadena, California, specified Couristan’s Custom Guest Room Tufted Carpet Program to create nearly 70,000 square yards of carpeting for the luxurious suites of THE hotel at Mandalay Bay. The Luxury Suite living space carpet (inset) was produced using Couristan’s 100% New Zealand wool,hand-gunned tufted tech-nology,while the Typical Guest Room living space carpet (large picture) was man-
ufactured with Couristan’s proprietary tufted broadloom technology in solution dyed nylon.
