Creating a fresh, energetic interior that effortlessly complemented the stately 19th century structure of Nashville’s Union Station Hotel, the Dallas-based ForrestPerkins design team found inspiration in the original stained glass windows and translated those colorful motifs into dramatic, brightly-hued area rugs using Couristan’s custom-tufted area rug program. Adding a youthful element to the classic luxury of this historical landmark, over 5,300 square yards of Couristan’s hospitality quality hand-tufted area rugs and Omni Weave Electronic Jacquard Axminster carpeting were placed in the Lobby, Lobby Lounge, Corridors, Meeting Rooms and Ballrooms. Paired with the updated furnishings, sleek polychrome paint scheme and soft lighting; the result was a breath-taking visual experience from floor to ceiling.
